Walk the Moon

Formed in Cincinnati by singer/keyboardist Nicholas Petricca, Walk the Moon built up a devoted following on the strength of their ecstatic live shows.

The lead single "Shut Up and Dance", from their studio album Talking is Hard, took the world by storm. With its 24th week at #1, the smash hit set the record for the most time spent atop Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart. “Shut Up and Dance” spent 22 weeks in the top 10 at alternative rock radio with four consecutive weeks at #1. It also remained #2 Pop song for five weeks in a row, and spent time at #1 at Hot AC for six weeks.

The band performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, NBC’s The Voice and Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series. They performed on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards, where they were nominated for Best Rock Video for “Shut Up and Dance.” Walk the Moon were also nominated for three awards apiece at the American Music Awards and iHeart Radio Music Awards, and picked up a Favorite New Artist nod at Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards. This February, Walk the Moon’s Talking Is Hard was certified Gold by the RIAA.

On February 26th, 2016, Walk the Moon released their first ever live album, You Are Not Alone (Live at the Greek), via RCA Records at all digital retailers. The album features songs recorded from their LA show at The Greek Theater during their sold-out “Talking Is Hard” Tour last fall.
